David Straden, Founder & CEO.
Mr. Straden has diverse leadership experience as an operating executive, board member and venture capitalist. His career includes extensive involvement in complex investment analysis, mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt finance, corporate strategy and change management.
Prior to Finario, Dave was a Managing Director of Flagship Partners, a New York-based private equity firm focused on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and other technology-enabled services businesses. While at Flagship, he served as CEO or CFO of a number of mid-market companies and engineered two successful corporate turnarounds.
Mr. Straden also has international management experience, having served as a strategic planner for the Schneider Group where he was involved with the launch of a new division in Chile. Dave began his career as an investment banker with Smith Barney‘s corporate finance department in London and Chicago where he focused on M&A transactions and IPOs.
He has served as Chairman or Director on a number of Boards including SaaS firms Sonian and Avenue Right. Mr. Straden received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, his MSc from the London School of Economics and his BA from Northwestern University.
Ralph Decatrel, CTO.
Mr. Decatrel has considerable software development and team leadership experience, with a proven track record of success using agile software development methodologies.
Ralph has deep expertise in enterprise cloud architectures, service-oriented eco-systems and web application scaling. Prior to Finario, Mr. Decatrel was the Director of Software Development for Shutterstock (SSTK) a leading online marketplace for commercial digital imagery and Medidata Solutions (MDSO) a Software-as-a-Service provider of clinical development applications for life science organizations.
Earlier in his career, Ralph worked for a number of organizations including Citibank and BSG consulting. He received a BS in Computer Science from New York University.
